The money is being raised in partnership with The Hands Up Foundation, who work with small, efficient and local projects in and around Syria. They aim to bring aid and awareness to some of Syria’s mostvulnerablepeople, still in the midst of a war that began over six years ago which has claimed the lives of 400,000 and become one of the worst humanitarian disasters of our generation. All money raised will go towards the projects that Hands Up fund which are implemented on the ground by partner organisations. Where possible these projects are inside Syria and run by Syrians, with a focus on funding the salaries of medical and education staff. Amongst others, paying doctors’wages in rural Southern Aleppo, running a kindergarten in Idleb, and funding two prosthetic limb clinics.It is currently estimated that over 30,000 Syrians are amputees in urgent need of treatment.
