Application for Kaplan Memorial Pre-Law Scholarship at Virginia Tech

Kaplan Test Prep Admissions (“Kaplan) is offering up to two Kaplan Memorial Pre-Law Scholarships at Virginia Tech (“Kaplan Scholarships”) in the spring of 2015. Only students enrolled at Virginia Tech at least part of the current academic year (2014-15) are eligible for a Spring 2015 Kaplan Scholarship. Based on the applications received, Kaplan may award one or two Virginia Tech students a free Kaplan course to prepare for the LSAT on June 8, 2015. A Kaplan Scholarship, if awarded, will include the complete cost of either (1) a classroom course in Blacksburg or (2) a Classroom Anywhere course. The student/s receiving a Kaplan Scholarship will be able to choose between these two options. The Kaplan Scholarship would include all applicable materials – including all of the course books, online access, and special features of the Kaplan LSAT course. To apply for a Kaplan Scholarship, please complete this form and submit it, along with the following: an attached supporting statement that may not exceed one page (single spaced); and an unofficial copy of your academic transcript from Virginia Tech. In the statement, you may explain the reason/s you are applying for a Kaplan Scholarship along with what factors support awarding it to you. Among the relevant factors that Kaplan may consider are: evidence of your motivation to take a Kaplan course, academic performance, financial need, past preparation for the LSAT, geographic location during the spring and early summer, and other individual considerations. Accordingly, please indicate whether you will be within commuting distance to Kaplan’s Blacksburg Virginia Center in April and/or May of 2015.
