A super-Super Bowl Sunday to all Toll Titans, this is Dr. Crowther with announcements for the week of February 8, 2016. Congratulations to our girls' volleyball team for its first win in the team's young history with a big win at Roosevelt last Thursday. Action continues for both the volleyball and football teams at Wilson this Thursday.

Screening for scoliosis of 7th grade girls and 8th grade boys as required by State law will be performed by district nurses this month during PE classes. Toll's assigned dates are Wednesday the 10th and Tuesday the 19th. If you do not want your child to participate, please contact the health office prior to February 9, 2016. Thank you.

This is another reminder to families that food deliveries may not be sent to our office for students at lunch. They must bring a lunch from home or purchase lunch at one of our campus locations.

If you missed the community calendar meeting at Hoover High School last week, there is a second opportunity to have input on the 2017-2018 calendar with a community meeting at Glendale High School on February 17th at 6:30 p.m. All parents and community members are welcomed.

The Titans continue the "Pennies for Patients" drive next week with the ASB sponsoring a donut party for any homeroom that collects more than $250. We have several classrooms already nearing that mark after incredible showings last week. Our charitable efforts this year during the holiday seasons drives and during the canned food drive at the start of the year was remarkable and our efforts so far for this worthwhile endeavor has been equally strong. I am very proud of all our Toll families for helping such worthwhile causes. Thank you!

Did you know that experts in the STEAM fields believe that getting children early exposure to computer coding dramatically increases their future career prospects? Toll is proud to offer an after school program later this month that does just that. This upcoming class, Python! Code through Tim Meriau of Python, costs $140.00 and begins on Monday, February 22 and will last eight amazing weeks. Python is used by many visual effects studios to run their render farms. It is even used by the company that makes Star Wars. Students will learn Python basics and eventually move on up to making a text-based version of Minecraft! Visit our website or follow the details found in this week's e-bulletin to enroll your student.

Finally, a reminder that this Monday and the following Monday are school holidays in observation of Washington and Lincoln's birthdays. Enjoy your super-Super Bowl Sunday and three-day weekend... we will see you back on campus on Tuesday, February 9.
