Alpaca Ontario’s Fall Education Day will be held on October 1 at the Ramada Inn on the Bay in Belleville. We are very fortunate to have Eric Hoffman as the speaker for the day. Eric Hoffman, recognized internationally as an authority on alpacas, is a retired educator, author and nature writer who has been involved with alpacas for over 20 years. His alpaca farm, Bonny Doon Alpacas, is in Santa Cruz, California. Eric is the principal author of The Complete Alpaca Book , co-author of The Alpaca Book, creator of The Alpaca Registry, founding editor of The Alpaca Registry Journal, and two term founding president of the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (AOBA). He has written more than 150 articles on alpacas, llamas, vicunas, and guanacos, that have appeared in various magazines such as Pacific Discovery, International Wildlife, and Outside. He has been a keynote speaker for alpaca events in Australia, New Zealand, Peru, the United States and Canada.

From the east: Take highway 401 to exit 543A. Follow highway 62 south for 3.5 km. to highway 2 (Dundas St.). Turn right to the continuation of highway 62 south (1 km.). Turn left toward the BayBridge. The hotel is on the left side at the lights.
From the west: Take highway 401 to exit 538 south (Wallbridge-Loyalist Rd.). Continue south to highway 2 (Dundas St.) and turn left. Continue east to Bay Bridge Rd. and turn right toward the BayBridge. The hotel is on the left side at the lights.
If you need accommodation, a block of rooms has been reserved, but only until August 31. The special conference rate is $102 plus tax – when you are booking make sure to mention you are with the Alpaca Ontario conference to get this rate.
