Guidelines

·  Length

Ø  4 - 7 minutes

·  Content

Ø  Video of students at beginning and end (introduction & conclusion)

Ø  Minimum of 5 video clips

Ø  Minimum of 10 still photos

Ø  Must give credit for all video and photo clips that you did not create, using appropriate citations.

·  Credits & Titles

Ø  Title Screen

Ø  Closing Credits must include roles of all group members and date

Ø  Min. of 5 captions (titles) at least one of each – before, on, and after

·  Audio

Ø  Background music must be included at the beginning and end of the video

Ø  Audio narration – including written script

Ø  Script must be typed in 12pt font Arial or times new roman

·  Effects & Transitions

Ø  Transitions between all video and photo clips.

Ø  Minimum of 5 video effects

______Monday: Make a Plan! Gather video clips and still photos. Document sources for

each.

______Tuesday: Continue collecting clips and photos. Create a rough story board. Write

the script for the introduction.

______Wednesday: Film introduction. Insert video and photos into Movie Maker file.

Select background music.

______Thursday: Write script for closing. Write script for narration and record.

Begin editing – transitions, effects, add titles, credits, etc.

______Friday: Film closing segment. Complete title screen and closing credit. Finish

editing. Finalize project!
