DEPT OF RETIREMENT (DRS) –(This plan is generally for classified staff and eligible part-time hourly staff)

ALL PERS PLANS EFFECTIVE IF EMPLOYEE IS EXPECTED TO WORK 70 OR MORE HOURS FOR 5 MONTHS PER YEAR IN EACH OF 2 CONSECUTIVE YEARS.

EMPLOYER RATE – 11.18% of gross pay

EMPLOYEE RATE – 6.00% of gross pay

PERS PLAN 2

EMPLOYER RATE – 11.18% of gross pay

EMPLOYEE RATE – 6.12% of gross pay

PERS PLAN 3

EMPLOYER RATE – 11.18% of gross pay

STATE BOARD RETIREMENT PLAN (TIAA-CREF)–(This plan is for faculty and administrative/exempt staff)

EMPLOYER/EMPLOYEE RATES ARE THE SAME:

UNDER AGE 35 – 5.00%ofgross pay

AGE 35-49 – 7.50% of gross pay

AGE 50 AND ABOVE – 10.00% of gross pay

2016 WASHINGTON STATE MINIMUM WAGE$9.47 per hour

SOCIAL SECURITY (OASI) (OASI -6.2% of gross pay MEDICARE- 1.45% of gross pay)

EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTION RATE - 7.65%(OASI MAXIMUM WAGES for 2016 = $118,500)
