SummaRy

IT Professional with 15 years experience designing and integrating applications and databases. As lead programmer at a startup, I designed a reporting platform with .NET that eventually became a Microsoft product. I understand the needs of customers, co-workers, and supervisors and enjoy making their day better (and more productive).

I have lived in Durango for nine years.

Work history since 2000:

Corporate Radar / FAST Search September 2000 – January 2008: Lead Programmer, Location: Novato, CA

As Lead Programmer for Corporate Radar, I designed and built a web-based reporting platform from the ground up, and saw it through until acquisition by Microsoft.

·  Architected (and coded most of) Corporate Radar, a web-based portal reporting environment. Designing reports, dashboards, and their underlying processes from a myriad of sources could be performed through a web front-end. (C#, VB, HTML, JavaScript, many types of databases.)

·  Built easy-to-use modules allowing end-users to build search/write-back, workflow, ETL’s, and personal alerts.

·  Designed interfaces for databases: MS SQL, Oracle, IBM DB2, Access, Sybase, Informix, FoxPro, Teradata, DataWeld, Cache, Progress, Solomon

·  Wrote connectors to other data sources: web services, Lotus Notes. File Maker Pro, SAS, J. D. Edwards. FAST ESP, XML files.

·  As a Microsoft Partner, I received personal .NET training from Microsoft before its initial release.

·  Customers included Owens Corning, Proctor & Gamble, KBR Halliburton, Bank of America.

FAST Search acquired Corporate Radar in January 2008

·  Integrated Corporate Radar’s reporting features into FAST Search platform.

·  Trained and supported FAST field consultants on Corporate Radar deployments.

Microsoft January 2008 – January 2012: Sr. Software Engineer, Locations: Novato, CA and Durango, CO
FAST Search became SharePoint Search.

·  Integrated FAST Search into SharePoint , using Visual Studio, C#, and JS.

·  Built pages in SharePoint in C#.

·  Performed complete builds of MS Office.

·  Designed automated tests for SharePoint pages, and API’s. Led team that tested SharePoint across multiple browsers, operating systems, and languages.

·  Reproduced and analyzed bugs for updates, patches, CU’s, etc. post-release.

SharePoint Search Consulting

·  BA-Insight June 2012 – Feb 2013: SharePoint Solutions Consultant. Boston, MA. Built search applications and their front-ends, as well as custom web parts. Most work was with law firms.

·  Pfizer June 2013 – February 2014: SharePoint Solutions Consultant, Location: New York, NY. Gathered requirements, built POC’s, and led an offshore engineering team building a web-based search application that promotes the sharing of research across many departments and continents.
