Expiration Date: September 30, 2013

The Indiana Fluvial Erosion Hazard (FEH) Program is offering Regional workshops. These workshops are designed to provide a more in depth understanding of the fluvial erosion hazard for a broad range of agency personnel working with natural resources, including, but not limited to, stream regulation, flood mitigation or avoidance measures, storm water infrastructure design or regulation, transportation, or any of the many other ways that the collective state and federal agencies try to preserve and protect Indiana’s water resources.

The workshops will take place according to the following schedule:

FEH Workshop for Southwestern Indiana11/08/20128:00AM

FEH Workshop for Northwestern Indiana11/13/20129:00AM

FEH Workshop for Southeastern Indiana11/15/20128:00AM

FEH Workshop for Northeastern Indiana11/20/20128:30AM

NRCS will support employee attendance according to our established meeting policy(GM 250, Part406.3 and 406.4). All employees interested in attending this meeting should make the request to their Area Conservationist (AC) or Leadership Team (LT) member for approval.

ACs or LT members are to complete the Employee Meeting Attendance Spreadsheet (attached) for employees approved for attendance and submit to Tiffany Davidson, STC Executive Assistant, via email at .

Per new guidance in GM, Part 406, all requests for offsite meetings where costs are greater than $10,000, including staff salary costs, must be submitted to NHQ’s fiscal operations staff, which coordinates the required approvals.

Use of GOV is authorized for the workshops. I encourage employees to coordinate with partnership and NRCS employees to minimize the number of GOVs at the event.

If you have questions, please contact Susan Meadows, State Training Officer, at 317-295-5892.
