Randy Ahn – Triple P America West Coast Dissemination

·  Open enrollment in Los Angeles

·  Any training needs should be communicated to Triple P America

·  Randy encouraged everyone to post open training slots on the PPP-CA Collaborative website, via Stephanie. There are always people looking for places and it is where Randy refers people to look.

·  Spanish translations, TEEN resources are getting close to being available

·  Arabic – Seminar Tip Sheets are under review

·  Triple P Online application is available for Triple P Accredited providers to purchase access codes through Triple P. Pricing schedule is available through Randy and on page 49 of the Triple P Training Guide.

·  Title IV-E Toolkit is ready and looking on how to disseminate

·  Moving into the dissemination and implementation role, slowly.

3.  10:25-11:00 Group Discussion: Childcare during Triple

a.  Do you provide onsite childcare during Triple P groups or seminars? If so, how is the childcare funded?

b.  Do you provide joint children’s programming in the childcare during Triple P groups/seminars? If so, what does this programming look like (structure / content).

c.  Do any sites train their childcare providers in Triple P?

Adriana Cervantes – San Fernando, Inc. (Los Angeles County)

·  Triple P Group services at Low-Income housing locations (some parents have a mental health diagnosis), volunteers/interns to work with the children (they were given parallel information for what will be shared with the parents during that week).

·  For those who are already trained in Triple P, utilize the skills that they have learned and learn to understand what parents are experiencing.

Nevada County uses child care that are approved by the County Superintendent

Contra Costa, child care provided as needed.

Sonoma County, child care provided through agencies.

·  Potential for further discussion on the “matching” of Triple P strategies and what it would look like in supporting children’s learning as well.

·  What kind of children’s activities would be valuable for children – how do they coordinate with what parents would be learning?

·  Lea will follow-up with a call at some point during the summer.
