By entering this contest, I realize that a Strongman contest of this nature is a dangerous sport where injury, serious injury and/ or death may occur.
In consideration of your acceptance of this entry, I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, and my assignees, waive and release all rights and damages I may have against Illinois Strongman Association (ILSA), ILSA Record Breakers, One Way Strength, Tony Soucie and Anna Soucie, Scott Rattin, Rattin Health and Fitness, town of St. Anne,any and all sponsors of the event, their representatives and assigns, for any and all injuries incurred by me in conjunction with thiscontest and any related activities and in traveling to and from the event.And in further consideration of permission being granted to me to participate in this contest and its related events I hereby have taken sole responsibility to make sure my personal insurance will cover these activities.
And in further consideration of permission being granted to me to participate in this contest and its related events, I hereby grant ILSA,One Way Strengthand/or any other approved video or entertainment organization and all of their agents, successors, licensees and assigns, the right to photograph or otherwise reproduce (whether by film, tape, still photography or otherwise) my voice, appearance and name, and to exhibit, distribute, transmit, and/or otherwise exploit any and all media, including without limitation, by means of still photography, motion pictures, radio, television, television motion pictures, video, printing or any other medium now known or hereafter devised, including with respect also to any merchandising, advertising and/or publicity, and the right to use my name and information about me in any connection with any of the foregoing. The rights granted by me hereunder are granted for the entire universe and shall endure in perpetuity and no further compensation shall be payable to me at anytime in connection therewith. Nothing contained herein shall be deemed to obligate ILSA and One Way Strengthand/or any other approved video or entertainment organization, to photograph or otherwise reproduce my voice, appearance or name, or to make use of any rights granted herein. Rules:
16” BOX SQUAT
-3 attempts for maximum weight
-Rogue Barbell/ Standard Olympic Plates, Power Rack.
-Wessels rule may be in effect.
-Athlete must un-rack barbell, step back into the squat stance, control the barbell and wait for the down signal.
-Bottom position of Good lift: Athlete must sit fully unto a 16” high box and pause for 1 second.
-Athlete then squats to lockout under control, pauses for 1 second until the rack command is given and re-racks the barbell.
-Equipment allowed: Chalk, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee wraps/ sleeves, belt.
-Equipment NOT allowed: Supportive suits of any kind including groove briefs.
LOG CLEAN AND PRESS
-3 attempts for maximum weight.
-Wessels rule may be in effect.
-Log Diameter 8” up to 155 then 12”.
-Handles are 24” on center.
-Athlete may NOT perform a “Steinborn Lift” (lift Log on end).
-Athlete may NOT rest the log on the top of the head.
-Athlete may press, push press, or jerk the Log overhead.
-Good Lift: Log locked out overhead, head thru, feet in-line and under control.
-Once the log is locked out and steadied the athlete must hold the lockout for a 1 second count. Athlete must wait for the down signal for it to count.
-Equipment allowed: Chalk, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee wraps/ sleeves. Belt with buckle to front.
-Equipment NOT allowed: Tacky, lifting hooks, lifting straps, supportive suits of any kind, groove briefs, material tucked in belt to create “shelf”.
18” DEADLIFT
-3 attempts for max weight.
-Wessels rule may be in effect.
-Bar is 18” from floor to the bottom of the barbell.
-Rogue Ohio Deadlift Barbell on pulling blocks.
-Conventional stance only (hands at or outside of knees).
-Sumo stance NOT allowed.
-Good Lift: Head up, shoulders back, hips forward, feet in line, under control.
-Once the Barbell is locked out and steadied, the athlete must hold the lockout for a 1 second count and wait for the down signal for the lift to count.
-Equipment allowed: Chalk, lifting straps, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee wraps/ sleeves. Shoes are optional.
-Equipment NOT allowed: Tacky, lifting hooks, figure-8 straps , supportive suits of any kind, groove briefs.
Information:
Point system will NOT be used. Total poundage from the top lifts will determine placements.
All events are eligible for ILSA Records.
The ILSA Record Breakers will be used as a fund raiser forOne Way Strength.
Judges decisions are final.
