Liability Release
In any physical activity, risk of injury is possible. This retreat is in one of the world’s most remote locations, at 2,880m altitude, and involves a small-plane flight, travel by jeep on mountain roads, hiking and yoga. Travel to the nearest quality emergency clinic will involve airlifting. The nature of the location involves unpredictability and may affect the itinerary beyond our control.
This retreat is not recommended for individuals with certain conditions (e.g., cardiac illness, pregnancy, recently post-surgery).
While we pride ourselves on the quality and choice of provisions in the context, these are unlikely to be what you are used to at home. The retreat must be entered into with a spirit of adventure, flexibility and curiosity.
Mahalaya and the teachers will make responsible choices for all providers of transport, accommodation and food, and will keep you informed of any risks or issues. We will endeavour to connect you to local support services should you require services beyond our scope, but we are not responsible for the quality or availability of these. Medical insurance is mandatory for this trip.
I assume the risk of participating in this retreat and release the teacher(s) and Mahalaya Nepal from any liability claims. I am aware of the physical risks involved and understand it is my personal responsibility to consult with my doctor regarding my participation. I have no medical condition, which would prevent me from taking part (considering the altitude, hiking and yoga), I have declared any issues which the teacher needs to be aware of. I assume responsibility for any risk or injury I may sustain as a result of my participation.
