Dear Red Deer Royals Sponsor,

The Red Deer Community Band Society is the umbrella organization for community band music in Red Deer and Central Alberta. We are proud to call the World Class Red Deer Royals Concert and Marching Show Band our flagship band! The mission of the Red Deer Royals Concert and Marching Show Band is to facilitate an environment of musicianship, learning, friendship and mentoring for musicians and colour guard aged 11-21 residing in Central Alberta and surrounding communities. This band promotes musicianship, leadership, teamwork, community service and pride.

The Red Deer Royals are hosting the 21th Annual Marching Showband Classic hosted by the world class RED DEER ROYALS. This event will feature marching show bands from across the province as they premiere their annual show in our community. You are cordially invited, along with your family and friends, to experience and be awed by these groups who put music in motion. The Red Deer Royals will be performing their choreographed field show entitled “Magic.”

The event will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:30 PM at the Enmax Centrium. The Marching Showband Classic is open to the general public and admission is $5 per person (6 and under are free). There will be opportunities for prize draws (such as 50/50 draw, raffle items and a silent auction) and it is certain to be a fun-filled afternoon for the entire family.

There will be approximately 1000 musicians, staff and chaperones, as well as 3000 spectators in attendance. Your support is crucial. The expenses of hosting the Classic are approximately $18,000! We would like you to consider our request of a raffle donation, a silent auction item or a monetary donation. In recognition of your generosity, your name will be printed in our Event Program and recognized on our website. You can contact me to pick up donations or cheques can be mailed to Box 84, Red Deer AB T4N 5E7. Cheques are payable to the Red Deer Community Band Society.

The Red Deer Royals welcomes any support you can contribute and thank you for considering our request. A response is requested by April 1, 2016. If a donation is not possible this year, we truly hope that you come as a spectator to enjoy and support the bands. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call me.
