The Noxious Weed District agrees to cost-share on the cost of Picloram such as Tordon and Outpost; and also the chemicals of Plateau, Weedone 638 (2, 4 D compound) and Milestone; and biological control insectsfor control of Leafy spurge and Canada thistle in RooseveltCounty. The cost-share is restricted to 1/3 (one-third) of the cost of said chemical and bio control insects, with a maximum of $1,000.00 to any landowner.

This cost-share agreement is restricted to the chemical and biological control of Leafy spurge and Canada thistle on noncultivated lands.

The landowner agrees to purchase the recommended chemical or biological insects, provide the necessary equipment and labor and apply the chemicals or bio control insects at his/her own expense at the recommended time and rate or hire the Roosevelt County Weed District to spray the land as noted in this agreement.

It is mutually agreed that the Roosevelt County Noxious Weed District or their representative has the right to inspect the area(s) that have been sprayed or have had biological control insects placed for noxious weed control.

Chemical may be purchased from any dealer. The landowner or chemical applicator must have a current chemical applicator’s license allowing said person/s to purchase restricted chemicals.

Cost-share will be based upon the control plan outlined in this agreement and upon receipts verifying the landowner’s purchase of recommended chemicalproducts.

All chemical and bio control insect receipts to be reimbursed under this agreement need to be submitted to the Roosevelt County Weed District office by November 1st of the current year.
