FINAL PROJECT (Due on 6/16/16)
Name Project: “YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS FROM BIRTH TO DEATH”
- This is an INDIVIDUAL Project.
- Students are responsible for creating a PowerPoint presentation showing at least three rights per slide that show the rights of any naturalized citizen of the United States at different significant points in their lives. This list can also show rights that are lost at certain times in one’s life as well as rights acquired.
- Here is the list of specific time frames that should be discussed:
- When you are born
- When you are in school
- When you are a minor
- When you turn 18 years of age
- When you turn 21 years of age
- When you are pulled over in your car by a police officer
- When you become employed
- When you have been fired
- When you have no income or means to support yourself properly
- When you enter into a contract
- When you purchase a product in a store
- When you purchase/lease a car
- When you purchase a house
- When you rent an apartment
- When you are being evicted from an apartment
- When you get married
- When you get divorced
- When you start your own business
- When you are brought to a police station for questioning
- When you are arrested
- When you are in a court of law
- When you are sentenced to prison
- When you reach the age of retirement
- When determining how your medical conditions will be treated when near death
- When you die
- This project should be submitted in GOOGLE CLASSROOMand submitted, as this would be counted as your final project. You will also present your project.

- This Project is to be done in Goggle Classroom Slides
- In this project you must include:
- Cover page & Title for project
- Make sure all the names/group members is clearly written on the outside cover
- Table of Contents
- Make sure to follow the organization of the project exactly, points will be deducted if information is out of order,
- Format
- Vocabulary: All KEY words must be highlighted, in bold, underlined…in written portions of the assignment to receive credit.
- Illustrations: Unless otherwise indicated, you are always welcome to print images from the Internet or draw your own pictures.
- When no minimum or format is provided the default format in this class is: typed, double-spaced, one page min 12pt font.
- Summaries:
- Have about 2-3 bulleted points on each slide, with maybe 5 to 6 words per point.
- Remember!! This is your “FINAL PROJECT”; it should be formal & concise.
- Using language that your classmates would understand, create a story for EACH specific time frames listed. Make sure to follow the guidelines below.
- Each time frame should have its OWN story.
- Use as many pictures/illustrations you like to help explain the time frames
- Be creative!!! A great way to start your story is “In the year of…
- Plagiarism: All or a significant amount of points will be deducted if students plagiarize any written portion of this project
- I reserve the right to use my judgment based on the severity of each individual case to determine whether to deduct points or give the students a Zero on an individual section or the entire project.
- Research: You should use PowerPoint lectures, textbook or the internet to research
