Both conferences will be opened by Professor Tracey Bywater, University of York, Chair of our Trustees and Honorary Professor at Bangor University. Tracey will also be speaking on ‘Enhancing social-emotional health and wellbeing in the early years: proportionate universalism approaches, and the use of screening tools.’

Graham Allen, former MP and founder of the Early Intervention Foundation, is our keynote speaker in Bangor and is also delivering the Annual Anne Marie Jones memorial lecture on Tuesday 6th February at 6pm on “Early Intervention-why leave it so late?” in the Eric Sunderland Lecture Theatre, Bangor University.

Professor Tamsin Ford of University of Exeter Medical School is our keynote speaker in Cardiff and her talk is entitled “Why schools mental health is important”.

Both conference days include updates on CEBEI research including:

The PALACES Autism parent trial, Our KiVa Anti-bullying research and dissemination strategy, The foster carer project, Web-based programmes, Our overseas work in Montenegro, the Philippines and the Horizon 2020 project in Moldova, Romania and Macedonia

There will be presentations from a range of local service providers in the North and South and both days are free and include lunch and time for networking.
