TARGETS AND TASKS

International powerboat competition are held with target to:

·  develop powerboat racing

·  develop and promote inflatable (RIB) powerboat racing

·  develop international sports relations

·  find the best drivers

ADVANCE REGULATIONS

1.  Internaltional race – European Championship Endurance Pneumatics in Classes (RIB) 1-2-3-4 are held according to the UIM rules (including Rules For Circuit Endurance Championship) and Race rules and UIM international race calendar.

2.  The registration of competitors will be by mandate procedure. Teams have to follow the procedure and submit the required documents required by existing Advance regulations and rules of LWMSF and UIM

3.  All competitors must be checked by official medical comission according to day schedule before the race.

4.  All cometitors’ boats must pass the mandatory technical inspection prior the race according to the day schedule.

TIME AND PLACE OF THE EVENT

The race will be held on June 12-13, 2014 in Latvia, Riga in akvatorium of river Daugava between bridges Vansu, Akmens, Dzelzscela. The PITs are located in AB Dambis near Radisson Blue hotel on opposite side of Old Riga town.

According to the UIM Rules 902 for Circuit Endurance Championships.

Boat categories

The event will be held on manufactured single-hull rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) with one outboard motor meeting the following requirements as to overall dimensions and motor power:

Boats must meet the requirements for the boats, as lined out in Circuit Rules. Requirements as to overall dimensions of the boats are as follows:

Navigation Lights

Boats racing must have navigation lights as follows per UIM Rulebook paragraph 902.37. Time for switching on lights will be announced on briefing on Friday.

According to the UIM Rulebook paragraph 902.35.

Participants

European Championship: The number of pilots per boat may be minimum 2 and maximum 4 (UIM Rulebook paragraph 902.8). A pilot may be registered and allowed to participate in the events only in one boat.

The minimal pilot age is 16 (not more than 1 pilot under 18 in one team). For Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3 - minimal pilot age is 18. Class 4 – minimal pilot age is 16.

Participants of European Championship shall have the International driver’s license issued by driver’s National Authority stating the racing class. Participants of European Championship should also have his National Authority permission to take part in the race (UIM Rulebook paragraph No 902.6.).

Names and addresses of the official team representative and each of the pilots shall be specified in the application for participation. No alteration of crew line-ups will be allowed after having passed the commission of inspectors.

All drivers must be properly insured (UIM 205.09.). Official representative of the team has the responsibility to make sure that all team members, including mechanics and assistants, have proper medical and life insurance for the whole event.

Entries

The entries for participation in the events shall be drawn up according to the form given in Appendix 1 to these Regulations signed by the Team Manager and submitted to the Organizer by the time stipulated in these Regulations

Preliminary applications for participation in the events will be accepted until June 1st, 2014, bu e-mail (the deadline for the Organizer’s receipt of applications). For participants who have submitted their preliminary applications in due time, the Organizer will provide visa support and assistance in booking hotel accommodations. In case of late submission of the application, the Organizer shall bear no responsibility for visa support and booking of hotel accommodations.

The entry fee for participation in the event, in accordance with UIM Rulebook paragraph No 902.5., of the U.I.M. Circuit Rules, shall be defined as follows:

Entry Fee additional from Organizer includes:

·  Third Part Insurance;

·  Dinner on Thursday, Lunch and Dinner on Friday for 8 persons from each team,

·  Afterparty on Friday.

The Entry fee has to be paid to Local Organizer no later than on Thursday (start of the race schedule).

The total number of boats participating in the race shall be limited to 50 (fifty). The Organizer shall consider applications as they are entered.

Prizes

Refueling

The fuel will be delivered by Organizer in PIT area.

Each team must have refueling barrel according to UIM Rules. Each Team must calculate their own fuel necessity themselves. Each team manager must pay for the used fuel on Friday (race schedule). Price of the fuel will be the same as domestic prices in the period of the race.

Accomodation

Organizer will help to make the hotel reservation after request and will make booking at the hotels near to the PIT area and with best discounts. Please make reservation until 1th June, 2014. Airport: RIX – Riga International Airport; Bus and train station: Riga

Visa

Organizer will make Letter of Invitation for Visa supply only from National Federation request. Deadline 20th May, 2014.

Protests

Any protests must be submitted to the race secretary in English according to the UIM rules. Protest fee is 80 EUR and it is payable at the time of submission of the protest.

Buoys

Any driver breaking a buoy shall be subject to a 200 EUR penalty payable immediately to the race secretary.
