Notice of Proposal

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council with the consent of Leicestershire County Council proposes to make an order under its powers contained in Section 32 and Section 35 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended) and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to:-
  1. Make the provisions District of Hinckley & Bosworth (Off-Street Parking Places) (Variation) (No. 3) Order 2018 (the “Variation Order”) come into operation.
  1. The Purpose of the Variation Order is to amend provisions of the District of Hinckley & Bosworth (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2014 (the “2014 Order”) and the District of Hinckley & Bosworth (Off-Street Parking Places) (Variation) Order 2016 (the “2016 Order”) and the Hinckley & Bosworth Borough (Off-Street Parking Places) (Variation) (No. 2) Order 2016 (the “2016 Order No.2”)which apply to all off-street car parks operated by the Council. Save as varied by theVariation Order the 2014 Order and the 2016 Orderswill continue to apply.
  1. This Notice is intended to provide only a very brief indication of the Variation Order and should only be interpreted as a non-exhaustive list of the proposed variations. The variations include:
  1. Trinity Lane East Car Park is changed to a short stay car park.
  2. Amendments to the scale of charges for all car parks.
  3. Changes to the boundary of Castle Street Car Park.
  4. Maximum stay of 3 hours on Church Walk and St Marys Car Parks (including blue badge bays). No return within 2 hours.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Variation Order (including: the proposed Variation Order; plans showing the areas to which the Variation Order relates; a statement of reasons for making the Variation Order; a copy of the 2014 Order; a copy of the 2016 Orders; and a copy of this public notice) are available for inspection between the hours of 09:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 9:00am and 4:30pm on Friday at the Main Reception, Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, Hinckley Hub, Rugby Road, Hinckley, Leicestershire LE10 0FR
