Region Xi New Youth Buckles

REGION XI NEW YOUTH BUCKLES

Region XI is excited and honored to offer the youth of our region a chance to win 2 beautiful Montana Silver buckles in memory of Marlys Anderson. Marlys was a long time breeder, regional director and huge youth supporter. Marlys’ husband Nate sent a check to be used over the next 5 years in her name.

We decided a buckle was a great honor and something all the youth of our region would be proud to wear. They will be known as the “Youth Ambassador” buckles. One will be earned through rated shows only and the other will be earned through non-rated shows only. Both must also be involved in a promotion for the Arabian Breed. The entry forms will be on our Regional Web site soon. The buckles will be given out at our regional show in July of 2017. This year only, the points will be garnered from 1/1/17-7/1/17, then starting in 2018 they will be from 7/1/17-7/1/18. Youth must be a member of region xi and aha to enter.

We will have pictures of the buckles on the web site soon. This will be a great thing for all youth in our region.

REGION XI “YOUTH AMBASSADOR” BUCKLES ENTRY FORM

RULES: Only youth from Reg. XI may enter. They must also be AHA members in good standing at time of entry.

Horses may be pure or half Arabians, but they must be registered.

There are two buckles, the first one can be earned from rated shows and the second from non-rated. The rider must choose which category they would like to enter. Also, they can only enter with one horse and in one category. Riders do not have to own the horse to participate.

Points will be honored after entry form is received.

Points are earned in both categories the same, 1st-6pts., 2nd 5, 3rd 4, 4th 3, 5th 2, 6th 1. Champion 10 pts, Reserve 5. Hi point at a show is 10 pts. Organized clinics 6 pts. Organized trail rides 6 pts.

Each category requires you to do a community project involving the Arabian horse. (a talk, demonstration, etc.)

For points to count you provide the show information, including date, name of show and contact person.

Also, we want pictures of you and your horse with your entry form! I will contact you later for more pictures to upload to the Region XI Youth Facebook page.
