We are working with American Recreational Military Services and will be collecting toys for Project Little Soldier until the Holiday Mini Meet, on December 4th. Project Little Soldier is looking to provide holiday gifts for children of the deployed military. As of now there are over 2,700 children that will be in need of gifts. If you would like to donate please bring a new unwrapped toy (doll, truck, car, arts & crafts) for children under 10 yrs. old or a gift card (for children between 10 -16yrs. old) to the drop box located by the front desk at The Community YMCA. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Joe Huber, or Ryan Burke, .

To whom it may concern;

It is coming around to that time of year again, when ARMS is reaching out to ask for help, for our “PROJECT LITTLE SOLDIER” campaign.. This year New Jersey, especially the New Jersey National Guard has deployed over 950 men and women. Since May alone we have deployed over 800 NJNG and are awaiting two other large groups to deploy. This is not including the many Air Force, Navy, Marine and Coast Guardsmen who are currently deployed from the state of New Jersey.

Project Little Soldier is a campaign we have done for the past 12 yrs. We provide a little Holiday Cheer to the children of these deployed military. We send out a wish list to each family and ask them to pick two gifts of their choice (not to exceed $35 each), and then try to match these wishes to the gifts we receive. It is such a joy to the families knowing they can get help in making their holiday season a little easier.

As of September 11, 2014 we have received almost 2700 wish lists back, and are awaiting at least another 1,000. We multiply this by two gifts per child which means we need over 7000 gifts. This goal can not be accomplished without your help. I hope you can find it in your heart to make the life of one of these children a little brighter by buying a special toy , or just contributing to our campaign so we can make this happen. We can supply you with names of children or the gifts they would like also. Please take a moment, and help this worthy campaign.

For more information, or to receive names of a child/children please feel free to contact me at 732-890-4914 or at . If you have done this in the past, THANK YOU so much, if this is your first time Thank You for thinking about these children. All gifts are needed by December 10th, so we can get them out to the parents in time for the holiday.

Sincerely;
