2. General. The Blue Jay Battalion will host the Mid-America Invitational Drill Meet on Saturday, 07 April 2012, beginning at 0800, at Junction City High School. We are planning to operate a pancake breakfast, lunch, concession stand and hospitality room.

3. Competition Schedule. Will be established based upon entry form / payment receipt timeliness. Schools requesting multiple team entries for a specific competition may be restricted because of time and space limitations. For multiple team entries, teams must be designated by team numbers. Team #1 will be designated to represent their school in the Overall, Overall Armed and Overall Unarmed competitions.

4. In-processing. Upon arrival, participating JROTC units are to check-in and in-process at the registration table. Units will be assigned to a classroom to serve as their area of operations; however, teams / cadets must use locker rooms or latrines for changing clothes. Units must provide security for their weapons as secure (arms room) storage facilities are not available. A map of the high school will be available at registration. Units arriving late because of exigent circumstances must apprise the JCHS instructor staff of their status and participation intent prior to 0730, or else risk being eliminated from the competition.

5. Commanders’ Briefing. Sponsors / coaches, team commanders, and judges will report to Settles Auditorium at 0730 for a Commanders’ Briefing to address key issues and coordinate schedule changes. Following the meeting, team commanders will prepare their teams for competition.

6. Competition Procedures. Teams will report to the respective competition site NLT 10 minutes prior to the time indicated on the schedule unless instructed otherwise. Enclosed are the coordinating instructions for the drill (Enclosure 1), MAIDM rules (Enclosure 2), entry form (Enclosure 3), individual drill with weapon (Enclosure 4), dual drill with weapon (Enclosure 5), individual drill down (Enclosure 6) competitions.

7. Closing Ceremony. At the completion of the competition, drill teams will form in Shenk Gym for the awards ceremony. Teams departing prior to the ceremony must coordinate with the JCHS instructor staff for receipt of their awards.
