Dear Parents and Guardians of Barclay Early Childhood Center:
Did you know that The Cherry Hill School District has recently been names as a State District of Character? We join just 2 other schools throughout the state to earn this recognition.
Barclay Early Childhood Center is proud to have an active Character Education Committee. They have planned a special activity to take place during the month of May. It will involve both staff and students.
· The staff of Barclay Early Childhood Center will be acknowledging Memorial Day by contributing to the organization The GI Go Fund.
· Students are invited to join us in commemorating the spirit of Memorial Day by bringing in a gently used household goods, clothing, or shoes, to be donated to the Vietnam Veterans of America. Donations will be accepted during the week of May 15 – 19, 2017. Students can either place their donations in the boxes to be located in the lobby area or give their donations to their classroom teachers. We will not be accepting any monetary donations from our students.
Barclay students demonstrate that it is never too early to begin community service! We realize that our young students cannot do this without you, so thank you for helping your child help others.
Field day is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17th. A classroom schedule will be sent out closer to the date. Parent volunteers are always welcome! You may volunteer by contacting your child’s teacher.
Barclay’s annual Spring Carnival will be held on Wednesday, May 24 from 5:30 – 8:00 PM. Our rain date is Thursday, May 25th. The Carnival is the “big event” of the year – there is so much fun to be had while supporting our PTA! I hope to see you there!
Reminder – school will be closed on Monday, May 29 in commemoration of Memorial Day.
