I have worked as a manufacturing Safety Specialist at Ben and Jerry’s Home Made Ice Cream - Unilever North America and Stonyfield Farm – Groupe Danone. My primary duties included coordinating worker safety and health functions at a manufacturing sites through researching, developing, and assisting in implementing effective safety policies, procedures, trainings and programs and initiatives.

As a “Special Hazards” Lieutenant with a metropolitan Fire Department I have over thirty years experience in the Emergency Management profession performing health and safety Consultations, Inspections and Training for: industrial facilities, construction projects, and hazardous waste cleanups utilizing OSHA, EPA, DOT, NEC, NFPA, International Building and Life Safety Codes as a basis for compliance audits, safety inspections and for training curriculum guidance.

In conjunction with The New England Consortium, at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, Work Environment Department, I have worked as a Health and Safety Educator-Trainer for eight years. I currently teach as a Staff Instructor for the NH Fire Academy, Adjunct Instructor the Police and Corrections Academy, NH Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, and for the American Red Cross. For nine years, I had been a member of FEMA’s National Urban Search and Rescue Task Force as a Rescue Specialist Technician Instructor and assigned to the position of Safety and Planning Officer for the New England Region for several years.
