There are still some outstanding checks, which are probably from tourney checks not used by coaches. / Reminder - it is likely that there will be a fee from the school district to use gyms for practices. / Laura Wolfgram
10,000 Shot Club Update/posters of varsity team to hand out / Choose game to recognize the shot 10,000 shot club.
Idea of getting posters made to hand out that varsity can sign later. Goes with varsity’s idea . / Andrea would like to do on Dec. 7, Friday night home game. / Amanda to call Bemis to print posters that can be signed.

3on3/Fall Fest / Date for Fall Fest and 3-on-3 is Saturday, September 8, 2012.
Tourist commission gave $1,000. Not as much as last year ($1,800) but much appreciated.
Check with Beth at Familiar Grounds regarding 50/50 split of their product for 3on3.
Sponsorship option was added to letter for $300 for 2 years. (Name would be added to “Hoops board”)
Discussed 3on3 planning list. / *Motion made by Laura/Jimmy 2nd motion to purchase 6 basketball hoops from Scheels at a cost of $340.00 each. The $1,000 donation from KC will be put towards this. This was approved.
*Andrea was going to check with sister who worked there to see if she could use her discount for us. Sheila also said she would put on her Scheel’s card so we would get further perks.
*The hoops could be stored in airplane hanger not with the city.
*It was mentioned that we should check with Scheel’s to see if they would throw any extra basketballs in with the hoops purchase.
Get approval from district to distribute flyers before school starts / Sheila to wait to hear from anyone about further discounts, otherwise go purchase hoops.

JV coach/assisting with paying salary

K-2 program / Andrea Flease is the new varsity coach.
-Reviewed Andreas request for help paying JV coach’s salary.
-K-2 program has been eliminated.
-Troy will do SNS clinic this year (Oct.7-Nov11) / Laura made motion for us to contribute $500 towards the JV coach’s salary.
-evaluate on yearly basis.
-other funds to cover this come from 50/50 raffle and other fundraisers done by team. / Motion approved for $500 contribution to salary. / NLGYBA board

Tournament teams / - Oct. 7 Coaches meeting with Andrea @ 4:30, player/parent registration 5:00; and skills clinic at 6:00
-Will be doing shirts/towel/duffle bag order.
-Tournament days/grade level to change.
-Tourney entry fee still between $150-$175. / -3rd grade HOV added this year.
-Code of Conduct must be signed before players will be allowed to play.
-Players to go to Fox Cities Embroidery to be sized for uniforms.
Order needs to be sent in for shirts, etc. week after registration to have in time for X-mas.
-HOV 1st and 2nd weekend in Nov. 1st Sat in Dec.
-Due to regional finals tournament dates changed.

7th and 8th grade (also regional finals) / Jimmy to fill out school form req. to distribute NLGYBA info. through schools.
Saturday mornings / K-2 Program eliminated; continue for older players / Saturday morning program will be December 8, 15 & 22; January 5 & 12.
Coaching applications &
7th and 8th grade coaches / 3 coaching applications received so far.
Discussion that 7/8th grade coaches should not be parents of team member.
Paid positions? / Laura lead discussion that 7th and 8th grade coach should not be parent of player on that grade level.
-Discussion had whether these 2 positions should also be paid positions. Will be evaluated on a yearly basis. / Further discussion to be had to come up with pay and other matters regarding this. / NLGYBA Board
