Webinar Fact Sheet

TSBVI Outreach Programs is pleased to offer webinars now as part of our distance learning efforts. These webinars are free and can be accessed via the internet on most any computer. Here are some tips to make this experience work better for you.

  1. The audio portions of these webinars are available only over your phone. You will be given a toll-free number to dial into at the beginning of the broadcast or in some cases prior to the broadcast. Look for this information on the specific webinar link located at
  2. Most of these webinars will be recorded. For this reason we ask that you observe the confidentiality standards that you would use in school-related matters. Please do not share personally identifiable information about a student, parent or other individual as you share information.
  3. While you are listening to the broadcast we will mute your phone so the feedback does not disrupt the speaker. You can join the discussion by using the icon at the top of your screen to raise your hand. The speaker will be able to unmute your phone when it is your turn to speak. You may also request other actions from the speaker using these prompts.

  1. If you are uncomfortable speaking over the webinar, please feel free to use the chat feature to share ideas, ask questions or make comments.

  1. You may want to check with your school’s distance learning contact if you are joining from your campus. Firewalls may impact your ability to access the visual portion of the broadcasts. They can usually open a port if you need to get into AdobeConnect.
  2. You may join in from your computer anywhere you have internet access. To enter the webinar, select "GUEST" and include your full name in the box below. It is best to have a camera and microphone for your computer if you want to participate, though you can make comments using the "chat" feature and have full access to the audio portion without these devices.
  3. If several people are viewing the webinar together, please download the sign-in roster, have each person attending sign in and then send it to Eric Adcock ( or fax to him at 512-206-9320) after the webinar is complete. In order to receive CEUs we must have a record of your attendance and a completed on-line evaluation. You may also receive credit for events archived on-line by completing the delayed viewing evaluation.

Webinar Evaluation

Delayed Viewing Evaluation

  1. Please note, you will be given parts of a code at various intervals in the broadcast that will be needed on the evaluation in order to obtain a certificate. You will combine these numbers in sequence to create a number between 120,000 and 140,000. Be sure to listen for these numbers and make a note of them.
  2. If you need help to join our webinars, contact Mike Bicknell at or 512-206-9405 prior to the broadcast. You may also contact him with your suggestions for webinar topics!
  3. Webinars are meant to be interactive! Please share as you would in any face-to-face event. Let us know if we need to speak up, explain things more fully or show you parts of the screen that you cannot see. It is sometimes difficult from our end to know what the experience is like at your end. Your feedback will make it a better experience for everyone.
