Seminar: Crime Prevention AdviceMeasures to Logistics/Courier/Freight Forwarder/Transportation Industry

The Crime Prevention Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force will be holding a joint seminar with CILTHK for the purposes of reducing the vulnerability of high-value goods/cargo-in-transit to robbery & theft. The seminar will discuss the modus operandi employed in different types of crime, as well as highlight potential areas of security weakness at various stages of the freight handling process. A number of crime prevention measures and initiatives (including appropriate security equipment and installations, practice and procedures) willbe recommended for members' consideration and adoption.

Speaker Profile:

Mr. Sherman CH Chow has 28 years inspectorate service with Hong Kong Police Force, doing various types of police work in Uniform Branch, Special Duty Squad, Regional Traffic, Divisional CID, Commercial Crime Bureau, Information Services Wing, and Planning & Development Branch, etc. He has been with the Crime Prevention Bureau (CPB) for nearly 5 and a half years. Currently not only being the Architectural Liaison Officer of the Force, he also deals with all operational issues of CPB.

On the security professional side, Mr. Chow is a holder of Executive Diploma in Security Science with PerthEdithCowanUniversity. He is a Certified Member of Hong Kong International Professional Security Association.
