Pinball Tournament Rules and Overview

Pin-toberfest is a pinball tournament to be held October 14th and 15h ,2011 at the Cuckoo’s Nest bar & restaurant located at 7893 W. Jewell Ave. in Lakewood CO.

The Tournament:

The Tournament will be played Saturday at 2:00 PM

Qualifying hours will be Fri. from 4:00pm until approx. 10:00pm and Sat. from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

Games will be open to public play days before tourney and Fri. after Qualifying.

The Tournament will be a 32 player, single-elimination bracket.

Play will be matches that are 2 out of 3 games.

The bracket will be seeded according to the qualifying results.

The top 16 players will be automatically placed in the bracket.

If there are more than 32 players, there will be matches consisting of 2 out of 3 games to determine which players will get the final spots in the bracket.

Players that are seeded higher will have choice of machine or player position on the 1st and 3rd games, the other player gets choice in game #2.

There will be at least 3 open machines to pick from 1st round, and more each round after that, all games will be available in later rounds.

A player may not choose the same machine twice in a match.

First place will receive $500.00 and a trophy, and their name on the Cuckoo Cup!

Second place will receive $150.00

Third place will receive $100.00

Fourth place will receive a $20.00 gift certificate at Cuckoo’s Nest

The prize fund may be raised (but not lowered!) before the Tournament if qualifying monies are above projected payouts.

Qualifying:

All players that pay $10.00 will be in the tournament!

Players will play qualifying entries consisting of 3 games chosen by the player for each entry purchased.

You may not play the same game more than once on a single entry.

You may play a game you have already played on a different entry

The top 20 scores on each machine will be recorded and players will receive points for their scores.

Points will be 20 for 1st, 19 for 2nd, 18 for 3rd all the way to 1 point for 20th position.

Any 1 player may only be on each machines top 20 list once. (your higher score will be kept, and the lower one dropped)

At the end of qualifying, players will get their final seeding points as the total of their 3 highest scores.

Players will then be placed into the 32 player bracket as described above according to final seeding results.
