Heading: Vikings Group shows support for Ronald McDonald House
In April this year, Ronald McDonald House (RMH) Canberra received a generous donation of $5,000 from the Vikings Group. The donation will be used to repair, upgrade and maintain facilities in a designated room inRMH Canberra.
Located within the Women and Children’s Hospital, RMH provides vital support services to families of seriously ill children.RMHwas established to accommodate families who live more than 100km’s away from hospital treatment.
This home away from home features 11 ensuite guestrooms plus a communal kitchen, dining, laundry and computer access rooms. The house also operates as a general place for parents to recharge while staying close to their childduring treatment. RMH is an extremely important support service for Canberra and regional families experiencing a difficult time.
The Vikings Group is dedicated to supporting the ongoing operation and maintenance of the non-for-profit organisation.
“The club is proud of the donation and hopes to continue contributing to this important cause,” said CEO, Anthony Hill. “We hope this upgrade brings many smiles to people’s faces”.
