RULES:

All Classes: There will be an optimum time section. Prizes will be awarded to the riders nearest to the optimum time in the event of equality of jumping faults. Riders having a total of three refusals in the timed section must leave the timed section immediately but may proceed around the rest of the course at the secretaries discretion

Pairs Classes: There are five specific jumps on the course that must be jumped as a pair. Penalties will be added:

0 penalties if horses jump identically;

5 penalties if one horse’s head is in line with the other’s shoulder;

10 penalties if a head is level with the other’s hindquarters;

20 penalties if there is any distance between horses.

1.The judge's decision is final

2.All competitors must wear a Body Protector and an Approved Hat to current British standard.

3.A Medical Arm Band must be worn

4.The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry and to cancel/change events.

5.The organisers reserve the right to close entries when they consider the classes full.

6.Excessive use of the whip will lead to disqualification

7.In the event of cancellation, up to 25% of the entry money may be retained.

8.Any person wishing to lodge an objection must do so in

writing at the Secretary’s tent, together with a £10 deposit within 10 minutes of the results being announced.

9.All dogs must be kept on leads at all times.

The Organisers of this event have taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. Please take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and obey the instructions of the organiser, stewards and officials.

The Silverton Hunt and Mr and Mrs Bland do not accept any liability for any accident or loss of horse, property or person. All competitors attend and compete at their own risk.

Winner of each class wins a hunting voucher for a day’s hunting with the SFH for season 2017/18

All Class Prizes: Rosettes to 8th place.

Special rosette to the highest placed Silverton Hunt subscriber in each class.

Bottle of whisky for the best over 40 Silverton member in Class 4B, kindly given by SFH.

Class 2A, 2B, 2C, 4A, 4B, 5 & 6 £18.00

Class 3 per rider £10.00

Entries on the field will be restricted and will be an extra £1.00 per class

£2 fee per rider for contribution to ambulance/first aid.
