PUBLIC NOTICE OF INVITATION TO BID (ITB)

PROVIDE BAND UNIFORMS AND CHOIR ROBES FOR

ONE (1) HIGH SCHOOL

METEA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Education, Indian Prairie Community Unit School District #204 (the “District”) does hereby invite sealed bids for qualified firms Vendor/Contractor to provide Band Uniforms and Choir Robes for Metea Valley High School students. Proposals must be received no later than: Monday, March 23, 2009 at 10:00 am at which time bids will be publicly opened.

Daniel Betts, Procurement Manager will receive sealed proposals for the Board of Education at the address below, no later than 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 23, 2009 at which time a public opening will take place. Proposals will be irrevocable for a period of ninety (90) days. No proposal received after the time indicated will be considered. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to assure this deadline is accomplished. Contractors assume the risk of delay that may occur in receipt or handling of a mailed proposal. Sealed proposals must be clearly labeled: “ATTENTION DANIEL BETTS: SEALED PROPOSAL “Band Uniforms and Choir Robes for Metea Valley High School” followed by the name of the Contractor, on the outside of the envelope.

Beginning March 6, 2009, BID specifications will be made available at the above District office address Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Upon entering the main entrance on Shoreline Drive, ask the receptionist to speak with Daniel Betts or Kathy DeSantis in the Business Office. You can also request an electronic copy of the bid package by emailing your request to .

Bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to (10%) of the base bid, will be submitted with the bid. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds may be required of the successful bidder. Appropriate Certificates of Insurance as described in the ITB, will be required of the successful bidder.

The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, waive any irregularities or informalities in bids, and award the contract in any manner best serving the interest of the District. All vendors must comply with applicable Illinois law requiring payment of prevailing wages by contractors working on public funded projects, and with Illinois statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws.
