ABSTRACT(Arial 10 pt Bold)
All of the text in this paper is to be Arial, size varies as noted, or just highlight some text in this mock paper and let Microsoft Word tell you what it is! This body text is Arial 10 pt.
Architecture is the epitome of convergence. Throughout history architecture has made manifest the confluence of multiple disciplines, stakeholders, technologies, and materials that have intimately responded to its context. From multidisciplinary innovations in material technologies to unconventional appropriation of tools for teaching, it is difficult to find disciplines that do not present some impact on contemporary architecture. Where traditional models of architectural pedagogy have been reluctant to embrace this trend towards convergence, notable educators, practitioners, and students have emerged as vanguards of a contemporary and holistic discipline. To witness these convergences is to witness innovation. As architecture continues to evolve, it becomes increasingly evident that in order to educate future generations of designers, the discrete model of dissemination will be replaced with one that embraces the confluence of multiple dimensions and facets.
This is the 250 word abstract of the paper that clearly explains how the paper addresses the topic of Convergence and Confluence in light of the ideas of the Conference. The proposal must include at least two of the “keywords” contained in the Conference Poster.
KEYWORDS
Please insert your keywords here, separated by commas, lowercase only

MAIN HEADINGS (Arial 10 pt Bold)
Leave a line space under your main heading and before the body of text that follows. The main body text of the paper is written in Arial 10 pt font. The papers are single spaced. Please do not indent your paragraphs, but rather use a line separator as you see here. Leave a single line space after the paragraph and before the next heading or subheading.
Sub Headings (Arial 10 pt Bold)
Please do not leave any space after your sub heading. This text is set to left and right adjust the margins. The main body of the paper is set out as two columns. Each column is 7.75 cm wide and the center white space is 1 cm. The Abstract and Keyword section is to be a full width piece. The margins have been mirrored, so this assumes that the first page of your paper is on the right hand side of the document.
Leave a space between paragraphs. PLEASE DO NOT NUMBER YOUR HEADINGS or sections. It makes the paper look a bit too scientific. If you need sub sub headings, please do these in Bold Italics.
Please do not include Word page separators, even if the material breaks oddly at the change of pages. It is preferred if you rearrange the content to make the paper and images flow onto the pages.
IMAGES AND FIGURES
Pictures may be worth 1,000 words, but you may include images in addition to the 5,000 word maximum limit for the completed papers. As this paper is done in a two column style, your images will either be restricted to a single column like the one at right, or be sized to span two columns like the image in the section below. You will need to be sure that the section breaks are included either side of the full width images to preserve the paper formatting.
Please resize your image files so that the filesizes are “reasonable”. Image resolution should be no less than 150dpi at print size. Your paper should be able to be emailed as a Word document and be no larger than 5MB when it is complete.Dragging to shrink 10MP digital images down to fit the wee space below results in dastardly huge file sizes for no good reason.
All images should be jpeg, quality set at High or 12.
Referencing Your Image Sources
Please include a separate list of illustration sources at the end of this document. Use the format below to list and describe your figure.
Figure 1: Width of the image at 150 dpi is 7.75 cm. Use the highest quality jpeg for your images. (Arial 9 pt)

Full Width Images
If you prefer to include larger images, they may run the full width of the page. The full print width is 16.5 cm. The image below is 150 dpi with its print size set to 16.5cm. Inserted like a dream.

If You Include Tables
If you are including tables or charts as part of your paper, these should be labeled separately as Table 1, following a similar format to the Figures. Source referencing can be done in the notes section at the end of the paper. If you are including any graphs, please be sure that the graphics or different colors on bar and pie charts read properly when translated into black and white.
The proceedings will be available digitally, so color images are permitted. The print version will likely be produced in black and white (as a function of cost), so be sure that your images read properly in black and white mode. There is no particular limit to the number of images, but in light of future printing costs, please keep your finished paper to a maximum of 12 pages.
PUBLICATION OF THE PROCEEDINGS
It is the intention of the conference organizers to have the proceedings available in print for purchase at the Conference in August 2011. Keeping to this template will make that possible and not keep everyone waiting for months for the proceedings! A CD ROM of the color version will be included in the Conference packet.
After the blind peer review of the papers, the comments on the papers selected for inclusion in the conference will be sent to the authors. You will be given a period of 4 weeks to incorporate any changes to your paper, and upload the full paper to the conference upload site. Except for minor technical corrections, the paper will be uploaded “as is”, without further editing by the conference committee, so please be sure that it has been properly checked for errors.
If you use this template to format your paper in the first instance, the turnaround will be much quicker!
REFERENCES
You may use the included macro in Microsoft Word to generate Endnotes (NOT footnotes).[1]
Please use numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.) for your references and not Roman Numerals.
Please use the Chicago Style for your referencing.[2] As these will be the only citation/reference notes for readers, they should be complete.
Please be sure that your internet based reference links work properly. Please leave working html hot links as these will be helpful in the pdf version of the proceedings.
Figure references can be added manually before the text based references.
Please leave 2 line spaces after the body of the text and before the Notes section.
