A form teacher is advising her students on preparing for their exams. Circle the correct words to complete what she says.

Listen carefully, everyone, I’d like to advise you on preparing for your exams. Now, you’ve all worked very hard this year so I’ve no doubt you’ll all get excellent results, (1) (Furthermore, Nevertheless), there’s always room for improvement, and the best way to improve your performance in the exams is to prepare yourselves properly for them.
Let me tell you about three of my former students. Student A always did well in class. She was (2) (also, besides) very intelligent. (3) (Moreover, However), she was much too confident of her own abilities. (4) (Furthermore, Nevertheless), she didn’t do any revision for any of the exams and, as a result, she failed most of them.
Student B was (5) (also, nonetheless) very clever. (6) (Finally, However), she worried far too much about the exams. I told her on many occasions that she shouldn’t revise the night before an exam. (7) (Besides, Nevertheless), she stayed up late revising before every exam she took. Somehow, she managed to pass them all, (8) (However, Moreover), she didn’t do nearly as well as she should have.
Student C was very different. He was by no means as clever as the other two students. (9) (Finally, Nonetheless), he had a very positive attitude. He worked hard at school during the day and revised for the exams in the early evening. He (10) (also, moreover) went running and swimming in order to reduce the stress of the exams. So, it was no surprise to me that his exam results were better than those of both Student A and Student B.
Of course, I’m not saying there’s only one way to prepare for your exams. I know everyone revises in a different way. (11) (Besides, Nonetheless), I think you all have to find out which way works best for you. (12) (Also, However), I think you can all learn something from these three students. Student C did better in the exams than the other two students. (13) (Moreover, Finally), he probably had the most enjoyable time while he was revising. (14) (Also, However), as I have said, he was far less intelligent than either of the other two. I very much hope that you’ll all remember Student C during the exam period.
(15) (Finally, Nonetheless), I’d like to wish you all every success in the exams. I realize it’s a very difficult time for all of you. (16) (Also, Nevertheless), I’m sure that you’ll all do very well.
