Applications are invited for education fellowships supporting undergraduate medical education in Clinical Teaching Academies of the College of Medical and Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham.
We are looking for enthusiastic doctors with an interest in medical education who wish to develop this further. You will be supported to complete a certificate in medical education during the post.
The College of Medical and Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham works in partnership with its Clinical Teaching Academies based in hospitals throughout the West Midlands, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the Black Country. The post-holders will be hospital based and provide clinical teaching for undergraduates on placements. You will be an honorary clinical lecturer. The College of Medical and Dental Sciences will provide induction and regular meetings throughout the year for the post-holders.
Individual posts vary and may include research and clinical work in addition to teaching. Further details are available from the table below.
The posts will suit doctors seeking to develop further before entering higher specialist training or as an out of programme experience for those in training posts already. The posts are for one year initially, starting August 2011.
