Re: Recorder Lessons
Recorder lessons will commence during the week beginning Monday 19thSeptember. These group lessons will take place during the late morning or afternoon sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays (the day/time may vary week to week depending on school activities). The cost of a term’s lessons is £12. Alternatively you can make a payment of £34 for the whole year’s lessons.
There are a limited number of places for Key Stage 2 children to learn the treble recorder. These are slightly larger than the usual descant recorders, have a more mellow tone & different fingering. Year 6 children can opt to play the tenor recorder which has the same fingering as the descant but requires large hands/long fingers. Lesson costs are the same as for descants but there will be a hire charge of £3 per year for treble/tenor recorders. If you would like further information please come and see me.
There are a few spaces for Key Stage 2 pupils to have individual recorder lessons. Pupils opting for individual lessons will be expected to practise regularly, working towards taking Burrowmoor Music Exams and playing in a small recorder ensemble and/or the School Band. The cost of these lessons will be £36 each term or £100 for a one-off payment in September.
Please complete the attached slip indicating your payment preference and return to the office by Monday 12th September. The details will then be added to your Parentpay account and should be paid by Monday 19th September.
