1. Opening and attendance, apologies / Welcome by President.
New members and visitors or guests: none

2. Guest Speaker / We had a very entertaining presentation from KB and John Cooper on the Historic Race Meeting at Phillip Island. John showed a presentation of pictures from the pits and action shots on the circuit. KB gave an overview of the circuit and showed some GoPro footage of him racing.

4. Matters Arising / ·  Nil
5. President / GW took this opportunity to present a few trophies to recipients who were not at the Presentation Dinner:
·  The Founders Trophy to Rob Lockwood for his MGB Restoration
·  A King Pin Award (Boris Johnson Brexit award) to MH
·  Pride of Ownership Class C winner – MH for his MGZT220
·  MH was also presented with a trophy awarded at the Natmeet for the Best Website for 2016.
GW also mentioned:
·  TOR for review of CACTMC and the need for the Club to nominate a member for the working committee.
·  Committee positions becoming vacant at next month’s AGM.
·  The coffee morning with Gianvi and Mary Jo touring from Italy at the Arboretum went well.
·  The $25 surcharge to members wishing to receive a hard copy of Tappet Chatter is regrettable but necessary. It does not even cover the postage costs for those members. This surcharge is to be reviewed by the new committee.
·  Members with CRS vehicles are reminded that it is against the rules to ‘hire the use of your CRS vehicle for profit’ such as for weddings or a school formal. It is permitted to use the vehicle for such purposes for free.
6. Treasurer / LG was absent for the meeting but had provided a monthly Treasurer’s Report, as displayed.
7. Secretary / Members as at 30 July 2016,
7 Life, 10 Honorary, 105 Single (ordinary),
81 Family Memberships, 19 Associate Members,
330 total members with 52 Ineligible to vote
Quorum of 10% of eligible members = 28
Other matters / TC advised the meeting that almost half of the 330 membership has yet to renew their Club membership for 2016-17. Nonfinancial members as at 31 August 2016 will be removed from the database and no longer receive correspondence or Tappet Chatter. TC is to write to all nonfinancial members prior to the end of August.
TC also asked members to consider if they might be able to assist with running the club by volunteering for a committee position at the upcoming AGM.
8. Social Secretary / Upcoming event reminder. Full details of activities are in Tappet Chatter:
·  Sunday, 21 August Monthly Social Run to Goulburn Brewery. Contact Graeme and Jo Corbett 0437 679 497 or 6299 4920
·  Thursday, 1 September Mid week meander to Collector Hotel. Contact Graeme and Jo Corbett.
9. Sporting Secretary / KB advised there is a Motorkhana at TISC Sutton Road on Sunday, 28 August. Club volunteers needed.
10.A/Secretary (Display) / ·  Weekend 20-21 August is Bog Boys Toys Expo at Epic.
·  Sunday, 4 September is the annual Battle of Waterloo at Weston Park.
·  Weekend 10-11 September is the Gathering of the Faithful (GOF) at Wagga Wagga. Talk to Mark Horsfield for details.

13. CACTMC / Covered in the President’s comments at item 5.
14. Library / John Cooper advised there was a number of technical manuals received from CIT available to members. John also requested that when packing up the meeting room chairs please leave the area immediately in front of the filing cabinet clear so he can replace the library books.
15. MGTYme / KB reported that at present there are 39 interstate registrants for the event. All detailed planning is going well and the event promises to be as good at previous years. He appealed to club members to fill out the attendance sheet for attendance at the various activities and to act as point marshalls.

17. Regalia / Peter Long advised the meeting there is more stock available to members.

20. Have you received any good service lately?
21. Other / ·  KB showed the meeting one of his rims from his racing MGB. The rim as several very fine cracks on the main spokes and could be very dangerous if not detected.
·  Next club workshop will be held on Sat 17 September. Will be on welding.
·  For the diary: 18 September is All German Day and 4 December is Terribly British Day. Details to be advised.
