Summary of Position
The ideal candidate will be responsible for forecasting, selling and effective merchandising ofEco-Productsnew product assortment with thefollowing strategic business partners: Staples, Quill, WB Mason, Office Depot, Office Max, United Stationers, SP Richards, Lagasse, Bunzl, and other accounts to be determined. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for themanagement and execution of the new product assortment while at the same time evaluating and ascertainingmarket trends and customer preferences for sustainable packaging that will keep Eco-Products on the forefront of innovation and the brand of choice in the office products channel.
This position requires the ability to build and foster effective customer relationships at all levels of the organization. The candidate will be responsible for gathering, reporting and applying customer knowledge to cross functional teams at Eco-Products in order to build customized programs. Face to face direct selling with 20-50% travel is required. Additional responsibilities include leadership and strong managerial oversight of projects, and programs while providing problem-solving initiatives. Having a keen sense for identifying business opportunities quickly and early on in the sales cycle, along with developing strategic selling approaches for winning business, is critical to this individual’s success. This position requires a self-starter with an entrepreneurial approach to business.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Positions Eco-Products’ as the most responsible and sustainable brand in the OP channel
- Sells and manages product assortment with the intent to maximize sales and profit growth in the channel consistent with company objectives
- Sells new and existing products at assigned accounts
- Assumes project lead for catalog reviews, including but not limited to the following:
- Catalog layouts
- Content and image maintenance and management
- Developing and executing effective e-merchandising strategies
- New product development
- Promotional activity specific to channel
- Developing and presenting customer binders during catalog reviews
- Negotiates win/win solutions including effective placement in customer catalogs
- Effectively negotiates and manages customer marketing allowances
- Manages forecasting activities at assigned accounts
- Develops and maintains a competitive product and pricing matrix to ensure our assortment is in-line with competitors offering like packaging
- Works closely with our Marketing Department to develop effective merchandising strategies for the independent retailers that create stronger brand loyalty and pull through for wholesalers
- Works with our Marketing Department to ensure that all assigned accounts have the appropriate marketing support and materials necessary to increase brand awareness, loyalty and effectiveness in the category
- Works with the new product development team to identify opportunities for new products based on channel demand and trends in break room supplies
- Performs other duties as assigned
Additional Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of the office products channel including brand owners and suppliers selling into channel
- Desired Education Level: BS/BA degree
- 10+ years of progressive experience in office products/breakroom supplies
- Strong planning and time management skills
- Superior negotiating, organizational, and selling skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills both to customers and internal contacts
- Excellent ability to keep a large number of projects/tasks going concurrently
- Strategic thought leader who is result oriented
