Literature guidelines

-There are many international attendees to this show; hardly anyone wishes to take printed materials home, therefore we should limit the amount of literature we stock

-For example, the Biotech Center reduces printed materials by creating a fold-over business card with a link to our online company directory, instead of taking printed copies of the directory

Literature guidelines cont.

-Guidelines:

  • 150 copies of each printed piece
  • 1 18”x18”x18” box
  • Deadline May 24th:Materials received at Skyline office in High Point

Questions

Have we considered food or drinks for the Pavilion?

-We have been in contact with Centerplate, the convention center caterers, who indicated that it may be possible for us to bring in small foodstuffs from local NC vendors that have Pavilion branding on them.

-Suggestions from the floor: Peanut association, NC wine association, mints, water cooler, fruit bowl

What is the status of inviting legislators to the Pavilion?

-NC Legislative sub-committee has been formed, contact Kendyle Woodard () if you would like to take part

  • This committee will develop a strategy for inviting federal and state legislators to BIO, especially since there may be a special rate (or no-cost) registration for elected officials

-Governor Perdue has been formally invited by Commerce to attend the reception and visit the pavilion

Do we have advertising for our giveaways (Pinehurst/Biltmore)?

-Yes, the Biotech Center will be developing particular advertisements for the giveaways, and we already have the putting green with a large photograph from Pinehurst as a focal point of the Pavilion

Will we have a photographer walking the Pavilion?

-Last year the Center did hire a photographer, however the photos were dark and unusable
