Travel expenses reimbursed, subject to maximum weekly amount of £52.00
Daily subsistence reimbursed, subject to a maximum daily amount of £3.60

Description of role:
The Fundraising Volunteer role will focus on researching potential new funders from a range of areas including trusts, foundations, the Lottery and corporates. This role will assist in updating and management of databases. You will gather information together to assist in the writing of bids. You may also be involved in the writing of applications.
Role includes:
- Assist with the preparation of funding bids and proposals
- Gather together information from a range of managers for applications and bids
- Keep databases up to date
- Research potential funders
- Keep an accurate and up-to-date record of all newly identified prospects
- Provide support to related activities as needed e.g. Media Trust events & marketing activities
- Work with our Fundraising consultants, and/or other staff as appropriate.
This would suit someone with the following attributes:
- Experience of fundraising is desirable but not essential as the role will provide an excellent opportunity to gain an insight into the specialism
- Excellent initiative and self starter
- Well organised, with the ability to undertake different and varied tasks and prioritise workloads
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Excellent IT skills (especially Word and Excel, accurate typing and attention to detail. MAC experience useful
- Strong organisational skills

We have a number of volunteers working on a range of projects across the organisation. Each volunteer has a specified role and line manager and is also supported by the HR Manager. Media Trust volunteers have a track record of moving into interesting paid opportunities in the media and charity sectors. Recent volunteers are now working in organisations such as Two Hand Productions, Dow Jones, Comic Relief, Markettiers 4dc, and Media Trust.
