Position Summary

Chemeketa Community college seeks an Automotive industry expert to help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as career ready, Automotive Service Technicians. The successful candidate will serve as an educational leader by demonstrating automotive experience and teaching excellence.
Terms of Employment:

  • This is a 100%, 180-day faculty assignment. This assignment is subject to budget approval
  • Requires the provision of official transcripts upon hire
  • Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which will include evenings and/or weekends
  • Upon hire must pass security inquiry which may include criminal and/or driving history; only information relevant to the position will be considered

The Community We Serve

Chemeketa Community College is the third largest post-secondary institution in Oregon, with approximately 50,000 students enrolled from a diversity of backgrounds. Chemeketa has seven locations, Salem campus, Yamhill Valley campus, Brooks Regional Training facility, Woodburn center, Polk center, Center for Business & Industry and Viticulture at Eola. Salary

$47,612.00 - $78,142.00 Annually

Requirements

AAS degree in Automotive Technology.
-AND-
Three years of successful occupational experience as an Automotive Technician -or-Three yearsrelevant experience teaching in an Automotive Technician training/education program
-AND-
Certification in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) A1-A8 and G1 (or ability to attainwithin 1 year)
