Application for Residents of I-House, Fall Semester2012
Dear Resident,
We are pleased to offer a new, uniqueopportunity for I-House residents. Since 1930I-House has championed cross-cultural learning, and in recent years it has formalized classes and workshops for residents and the campus community. In spring semester 2012 we offeredour first Initiative in Intercultural Leadershipas a pilot program to21select residents. It was very successful, therefore we are inviting you to participate in the second-ever cohort! The structure will bethat of a professional development opportunity not an academic class, offering an intimate community of residents participating in the opportunities below:
- Intercultural effectiveness assessment with individualized results and consultation
- Bi-weekly,2-hour workshops held twoTuesday evenings per monthfrom 5:00-7:00pm,from August through November,2012.
- One off-site,2-day retreat on a Saturday/Sunday in September, 2012
- International career/internship assistance, resume or CV development, optional letter of recommendation
- Optional mentorship with I-House Board Member or distinguished community member
- Closing Celebration in December 2012
Each participant who completes the program requirements will be awarded an I-House Certificate in Intercultural Leadership. To apply, please fill out the following application (please note you must be available Tuesday evenings for fall semester) and submit it to:
