Resurfacing works (finally) through Lockleaze rugby fields/Bonnington walk

(Thanks to Steve House for chasing this up.)

Following completion of the pipe laying & pumping station, the plan is to have contractors on site to repair the track on Bonnington Walk playing fields, Lockleaze.

Bristol Water is now in a position to progress with this work as summarised by area below.

  1. To plane out areas of degraded macadam to a depth of 60mm and reinstate with 20mm dense binder at compacted depth of 60mm. To an area of approximately95m2
  2. To mechanically sweep existing surface course, tack coat and machine lay 10mm close graded surface course at a compacted depth of 30mm. To an approximate area of885 m2

[Bristol Water] would like to arrange this work as soon as possible and will ask our contractor May Gurney (who will manage the work) to make the necessary arrangements with the rugby club and local residents directly affected over the next few weeks. We will let you know when this has been carried out and we have a proposed commencement date and programme.

(And these tips do not include the use ofvibrating seat coversthat I would be remiss if I did not share with you! Goes up to 11…!)
