JOB TITLE: Wellbeing Service Development Worker

HOURS:28 hours per week

SALARY:NJC Scale 4 sp18 £21,330 (pro rata £16,590)

CONTRACT:Funding secured for 2 years, with 2 one year extensions, contract subject to 6 month probationary period.

JOB SUMMARY:The Wellbeing Service Development Worker will be responsible for the administration of the new Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Promotion Service, creating a timetable of outreach events, booking rooms, liaising with Mental Health Champions and maintain a database of monitoring information.

RESPONSIBLE TO:Wellbeing Service Manager

LIASION WITH:Finance and Administration Director, Fundraising and Development Director, Mental Health Champions, Community Nutrition Advisors, Manor Gardens staff, relevant external stakeholders and community organisations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1 Service Development

  1. To assist in identifying potential host organisations, ensuring a good spread across the whole Borough and across all communities.
  1. To compile a list of community activities and fairs and identify with the Wellbeing Support Worker the most relevant to attend or host promotional activities.
  2. To set up meetings and draw up an event timetable, including reflecting local, national and international awareness weeks appropriate to mental health.
  3. To book rooms and arrange materials for training courses, activities and events.
  4. To help to ensure that the Wellbeing Service meets its objectives in a timely and effective manner.
  1. To maintain all project documentation in an orderly manner for future reference and accountability, including managing a timetable of deliverables and reminders.
  1. To ensure that all project milestones and targets are monitored and project slippage is reported to the Wellbeing Service Manager in a timely manner.
  1. To provide on-going recruitment of and support to the Mental Health Champions, flagging uptraining needs and assisting in identifying ways to develop their role.
  1. To help build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and community organisations.

2 Monitoring and evaluation

  1. To set up and manage a monitoring database including details of Mental Health Champions, referrals, stakeholders and key outputs.
  2. To ensure that monitoring and evaluation data is collected promptly from referral partners, organisations and Champions and is properly recorded.
  1. To monitor service user and referrer satisfaction.
  1. To work with the Wellbeing Service Manager to compile timely reports for MGWT management and funders.

3 Other

a.To attend regular support and supervision sessions with the Wellbeing Service Manager

b.To take responsibility for keeping up to date with skills development and changes in relevant legislation and technology, attending planned trainingas required.
