EDITOR’S NOTES

This booklet has been compiled in conjunction with

Each Sunday has been divided into two sections:

1. The Anglican Cycle2. The Diocesan Cycle

When it is the turn of your parish to be prayed for, please prayfor the work of the Cathedral as Mother Church of the Diocese.

Each weekday is presented with the day, date and the Saints/Feast Day (with the colour in brackets) taken from The Church in Wales Lectionary. The seasonal colour is not given but as general rule, White is kept until the eve of Pentecost, Red for Pentecost, Green from the Monday after Pentecost, White for Trinity Sunday and Green until Kingdom 1/All Saints. Red is then kept throughout November for the Kingdom Season until Christ the King which is White. Red can then be kept until Purple for Advent Sunday. Days in italics can be kept in the seasonal colour or the option provided for in the Lectionary. Copies of the Lectionary are available from 39 Cathedral Rd, Cardiff, CF11 9XF. 02920 348259.

This Cycle of Prayer can used together with the Ecumenical Prayer Cycle “With All God’s People”, published by the World Council of Churches and available free on their website at and also with the Porvoo Communion Invitation to Prayer which can be found on the Church in Wales website at .
