Harvest: Order of Service
Welcome by Mrs Hester.
Whole School Sing:
Autumn Days
Autumn days when the grass is jewelled,
And the silk inside a chestnut shell,
Jet planes meeting in the air to be refuelled,
All these things I love so well .
Chorus: -
So I mustn’t forget
No I mustn’t forget
To say a great big thank you
I mustn’t forget
Clouds that look like familiar faces,
And a winter’s moon with frosted rings,
Smell of bacon as I fasten up my laces,
And the song the milkman sings.
Chorus: -
Whipped-up spray that is rainbow-scattered
And a swallow curving in the sky.
Shoes so comfy though they’re worn-out
and there’re battered,
And the taste of apple pie.
Chorus: -
Scent of gardens when the rain’s been falling
And a minnow darting down a stream,
Picked-up engine that’s been stuttering and
stalling, And a win for my home team!
Chorus:-
Year 5 Bible readings
Reception classes to sing: Big Red Combine Harvester

Sing up club to sing first song – What are you Growing?
Lower School Sing:
Cauliflowers fluffy (X2 children from each class R-Yr6 to present food gift)
Cauliflowers fluffy and cabbages green,
Strawberries sweeter than any I’ve seen,
Beetroot purple and onions white:
All grow steadily day and night.
The apples are ripe, the plums are red,
Broad beans are sleeping in a blankety bed.
Blackberries juicy and rhubarb sour,
Marrows fattening hour by hour,
Gooseberries hairy and lettuces fat,
Radishes round and runner beans flat.
Chorus
Orangey carrots and turnips cream,
Reddening tomatoes that used to be green,
Brown potatoes in little heaps
Down in the darkness where the celery sleeps.
Chorus
,
Year 6 to speak about Harrow Food Bank
Upper School Sing: Beautiful World
From the crocodiles and the kangaroos
To the birds and bumble bees
From the elephants and polar bears
To the spider and the flea.
It’s amazing the wonder of creation
And we all just want to say…
Chorus:-
Thank you for the morning light,
Thank you for the moonlit night,
Thank you for the sunshine and the rain.
Thank you for the joy you bring,
Thank you God for everything,
It’s a beautiful world you made.
From the snow upon the mountaintops
To the fruit upon the trees,
From the jungle to the desert sand
To the fish beneath the sea.
It’s amazing, the wonder of creation
And we’ve all a part to play.
Chorus
It’s amazing, the wonder of creation
And we’ve all a part to play.
Last Chorus
Thank you for the morning light,
Thank you for the moonlit night,
Thank you for the sunshine and the rain.
Thank you for the hope you bring,
Thank you God for everything,
It’s a beautiful world,
A beautiful world,
It’s a beautiful world you made.
