PROFILE:

Dr. John Yabs is Lecturer at the School of Business, University of Nairobi, and Department of Business Administration. Dr. Yabs has fifteen years of teaching experience gained in Kenyatta University, United States International University, Moi University, and has ten years experience at University of Nairobi School of Business.

Prior to joining teaching, Dr, Yabs was the Managing Director of Fine Spinners, the Chairman of Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a member of Board of Directors of Export Processing Zones Authority, and Kenya Wine Agencies Limited.

Currently, Dr. Yabs is a member of the Doctoral Studies Committee of the School of Business, University of Nairobi, a member of Strategic Management Society, A member of the Academy of International Business, and a member of the Kenya Institutew of Management. He is a consultant in Strategic Management and International Business Management.

RESEARCH INTEREST:

International Business; Regional Economic Cooperation; International Business Environment; Relationships between government and Business. Effects of E-Commerce on the conduct of International Business and Strategic Decisions.

Dr. John Yabs has written four articles in the publications of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, one article in the Journal of Insurance, and two books International Business Operations in Kenya 1st edition in 2006, and the second edition in 2007, Strategic Management Practices in Kenya, 1st edition 2006
