Step by Step Installation Guide
Prerequisites – SQL Server, .net 4.0 standalone, ACL3 shared folder
1)Obtain License key, Firm settings, general settings, content and Master GFA from Korbitec.
2)Extract the 3 zip files from Korbitec into …\ACL3\install and then delete them.
3)Configure install.bat, profile.bat and updates.bat.
4)Replace “***” with the shared ACL3 path, you can use a UNC path or Mapped Drive.
5)After configuring has been complete, run install.bat to start the installation.
- This will install GhostFill, ACL and Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable.
6)The batch file will say “press any key to continue”, this is how you know the installation has finished, press any key.
7)Run ACL shortcut on your Desktop.
8)ACL will notice that the Database has not been created. It will ask you if you like to create one, say “Yes”.
9)It will then ask you to install content, please navigate to the content that Korbitec has provided.
10)It will then ask you to enter in license key, please copy and paste license key that Korbitec provided.
11)Now you can import your firm settings, please navigate to the file that Korbitec supplied.
12)Before logging in, run the Master GFA. This will place the templates within ACL.
13)After running the Master GFA, login to ACL. Username: Admin Password: kiadmin
14)Once logged in, ACL will ask you to run data updates, please do so.
15)It will take you to a screen like below, click show and apply for Courts, Sheriffs and other firms.
16)Copy XML general settings that Korbitec provided and paste it in: Automated Common\Dialogs\Firm\General Settings.
17)Remove Sysadmin from the user that created the database in SQL Studio Management.
- Right click on user and click on Properties. Click on the Server Roles tab.
18)Change the Database owner to SA (Sysadmin)
- Right click on ACL database and left click on Properties. Click on the Files tab and change owner to SA.
19)Add Login id for Domain users in SQL Studio Management. Grant them access to ACL_Admin and ACL_User under User Mapping.
20) Please consult with Korbitec with regards to backup options. Or if you already have one in place for other Databases please add ACL as one.
