**There will be observations and training sessions to prepare you for your experience.
We recommend observations (~3 hours) during the first week of the semester during our testing times. The purpose of the observations is to allow students to watch the testing procedures prior to learning how to do them in the training session. More information will follow on the available dates as they are not consistent.
The first training session is typically the first Saturday of the semester. Please plan to attend the training session on that day. More information will follow on that training session and the second training session. The second training session schedule depends on the schedules of the students in the practicum.

HES 486A practicum
Total of 3 credits
There is one credit hour of lecture and two credit hours of practicum contact hours. These contact hours require 30 hours each, which is a total of 60 for the semester.
HES 487 internship
Total of 15 credits
HES 686A Graduate practicum
Total of 3 credits
For the 3 credits, there are 135 contact hours required for the semester, which is 9 hours per week over the 15 weeks.
