St. Edith Catholic School “teaches as Jesus did” with love, care, and discipline, centering on the Eucharist,

Purpose:
/ 1. To promote the ideals of Catholic education by fostering a better understanding of parental responsibilities in the spiritual and educational development of our children.2. Enhance the quality of education at St. Edith School by raising funds for school supplies, programs, or equipment that fall outside of the school projected budget.
3. Foster positive relationships and school involvement among parents, students, and the community.
4. Maintain and enhance open communication among parents, teachers, and school faculty and administration.

7:10– 7:25 / Principle Remarks
· Classroom painting
· Tech Update
· Parent Night / Mrs. Wojciechowski / · All classrooms have been painted (2 coats). Painting was spearheaded by Mr. Thomas Cameron and Mr. Noel Ramirez.
· Maintenance Department absorbed cost of paint and supplies.
· Every 4-5 years the bottom of the classroom walls are painted. Every 10-14 years the top of the classrooms are painted.
· New switch plates have been installed.
· White boards have been reinstalled after painting ceased.
· New printer, all white boards and LCD projectors are up and running for 2015/16 school year.
· Wi-Fi installation will be complete before start of school.
· Mrs. Field of the Tech Committee informed Mrs. Wojciechowski that a new volunteer has stepped forward to help with installation.
· New iPads have been delivered (11). There are now a total of 41 iPads (30 already in place + 11 new iPads = 41 total iPads for school use). Mrs. Field will have all iPads configured and set before the start of school.
· Teachers will be attending Apple webinars and workshops to increase proficiency with new technology.
· Teachers have new email addresses (format as follows: first initial, last name, then followed by @stedith.org).
· All teachers and two staff attended a retreat primarily dealing with professional communications. Teachers also had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Ray Guarendi.
· Parent Night preparation is underway. Church, hall, and gym have been reserved. Spaghetti dinner will take place from 6-7p.m., followed by a meeting from 7-8p.m., and an open house from 8-9p.m.
· Teachers will be asked to supervise children after dinner to allow for fewer distractions.
· Mrs. Wojciechowski ended by stating that all teachers have been hired and contracts signed for the upcoming 2015/16 school year.

· Fashion Show will be next source of income for SEPA.

Katie/All / · SEPA Movie Night made a profit of $92.00. The profit will be used to purchase playground equipment.
· Mrs. Van Koughnet gave update on Fashion Show. Good progress is being made with vendors. Most vendor tables are secured. Vendor tables will be located outside of gym to allow for better flow and more tables for patrons.
· More help is needed with raffle items. Hand-out letters were passed out to aid in securing raffle items from sponsors.
· In lieu of family raffle donations, parents of school children will be asked to donate baked goods for dessert table. A theme for each grade to be assigned at a later date (cupcakes, cookies, etc.).
· Shoparoo program was discussed. Parents are urged to invite grandparents, siblings, and friends in this fundraising venture.
· From September until May, the Dining to Donate fundraiser will take place, once per month. The first Dining to Donate will take place on 9/17 at Doc’s Retreat in Livonia.
· Helping Hands requests have all been filled. Thank you to all parents!
· Hot Lunch snack coordinator position has been secured. The first hot lunch will be 9/24/2015.
· Bagels will kick off on October 6, 2015.
· The original Dining To Donate will take place on October 14, 2015 from 6-8p.m. at Barnes and Noble. Dinner will be at Buffalo Wild Wings in Livonia. 20% of proceeds will benefit St. Edith Catholic School!

· First Day of School coffee will be purchased (for parents) from Starbuck’s.
· Pictures of students will be taken the first day of school.
· The fall speaker will be Dr. Ray Guarendi. Dr. Guarendi will join us on October 6, 2015. His topic will be: “Standing Strong As A Parent.” There will be a gathering before and after the presentation. Mrs. Schone and Mrs. Mood will arrange dates for informational posting in the church bulletin.
· A Jean Day for students will be granted if their parents attend Dr. Guarendi’s presentation.
· Mrs. Morand updated board on Doves program.
· Doves volunteer list of events/acceptable activities complete and posted on website.
