Functional Area: Endowments Management / Maintain Business Partner
Purpose
Use this procedure to create and maintain business partners and business partner roles.
Trigger
Perform this procedure when a new business partner needs to be created or changed.
Prerequisites
None
Menu Path
Use the following menu path to begin this transaction:
  • Select Accounting Corporate Finance Management Business Partner Maintain Business Partner to go to the Maintain Business Partner screen.

Business Process Information
This process is associated with the management of securities functionalities for the pooled endowment funds within the Corporate Finance Management (CFM) module. These pools must be set up in the role of issuers using this process. Additionally, an entity must be set up with the roles of Counterparty, Broker, and Depository Bank in order to execute pool shares transactions.

Procedure
1. / Start the transaction using the menu path or transaction code.
Maintain Business Partner

2. / As required, complete/review the following fields:
Field / R/O/C / Description
Business Partner / Required / An organization, individual or group of individuals in which you have a business interest, or with whom you maintain a business relationship
Example:
BPOOL
3. / Perform one of the following:
If You Want to / Then / Go To
Create a business partner / -- / Step 4
Change a business partner / Click . / Step 8
4. / Click to add the business partner information.
Create Organization (Address tab)

5. / As required, complete/review the following fields:
Field / R/O/C / Description
Grouping / Required / Assigns each business partner to a grouping with similar characteristics. This grouping determines the number range.
Example:
Treasury partner (external)
Create in Role / Required / BP Role used to create the business partner; Common attributes that are relevant to this process are assigned to these BP roles.
Example:
Business Partner (General) (New)
Name / Required / A word or phrase that constitutes the distinctive designation of a person or thing
Example:
General lnvestment Fund B
House no./street / Required / Street name and number.
Example:
51/Goodman Drive
City/State/ZIP Code / Required / City, state and zip code part of the an address
Example:
Cincinnati/OH/45221-0641
Country / Required / Country name
Example:
US
Time zone / Required / Any of the 24 longitudinal divisions of Earth's surface in which a standard time is kept, the primary division being that bisected by the Greenwich meridian. Each zone is 15° of longitude in width, with local variations, and observes a clock time one hour earlier than the zone immediately to the east.

Language / Required / Language used to enter, display, and print texts.

20. Click .
The system displays the message, “Changes have been saved.”
21. Click until you return to the SAP Easy Access screen.
22. You have completed this transaction.
Result
You have created or changed a Business Partner in the roles of General Business Partner, Counterparty, and Broker.
