Africa is subject to a variety of issues that affect the overall well-being of its’ population, such as disease, government instability, famine, drought, war, lack of infrastructure, etc. The results are clear when one examines the life expectancy in African countries. World-wide, 36 of the lowest 37 countries, in terms of life expectancy are located in Africa. Your task is to research a particular issue that contributes to the decrease in life expectancy in Africa and work to create a viable solution to the problem. You and a partner, if you choose, will identify a problem of interest, research it, then create a solution to the problem and present that information/solution to the class via a product of your choice (must be approved). You may choose to focus on a particular issue in a specific country, or pick an issue that impacts Africa as a whole. The objective is to use critical thinking skills to help come up with a solution(s) to a real world problem.
