Recruitment & Selection Specialist

The Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA) seeks to employ a Recruitment & Selection Specialist who will report directly to the Executive Manager: HRand be based at the Head Office situated in Centurion, Pretoria.

Key Performance Areas will include but not limited to the following:

  • Receive all personnel requests, motivations and related documents and
  • Prepare a plan to integrate them into the spreadsheet ensuring that the following (among others) are :
  • Personnel request are completed
  • Motivations where needed are done accordingly
  • Advertisements are approved and placed (internally or externally)
  • Screening of all CV s is done
  • Panels are constituted in line with the policy
  • Shortlisting is done
  • Interviews are coordinated including packs
  • Interviews’ reports are done and they form part of the spreadsheets
  • Offers are facilitated with payroll and EM:HR
  • Induction preparation is in place by arranging with learning & development
  • Keep and maintain HR database at all times
  • Assist with other HR related duties
  • Provide updates to the EM:R and Line Managers

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in HR or Related Discipline
  • 3-5 years relevant in HR
  • 2 – 3 years in Supervisory or Team Leader Position
  • MS office Proficient at Intermediate Level
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Sound Knowledge of Labour Relations Act and other related Acts; i.e. BCEA; SDA; EE; SDLA; etc.
  • HR Generalist and/or Recruitment Functions
  • Good communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and execute projects or tasks
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
  • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems
  • Ability to treat and manage confidential matters both at strategic and operational levels
  • Problem solving skills

Special Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Willing to work overtime as and when required to do so.
